Fear, it's time for you to listen up.

Updated: Dec 18, 2018

Fear is a crazy lady. She is there to keep you safe, but wants to make sure you don't go anywhere. She loves to show up in different ways. She is happiest when you are stuck right there in your routine, where you know what to expect without much chance that anything will change. ..you know, your comfort zone.

. . I don't want you to think fear is bad. Fear has the amazing ability to help us feel out situations that are genuinely unsafe, but she also gets a hold of our emotions when we think about switching up something in our life. And this is where the struggle is. There is no growth in your comfort zone... ______________ Without that growth there is no new understanding of where you are now after all your experiences as opposed to when you were in collage. I mean really, think of all that has happened since then! Are you the same person? or do you deserve a little growth to honor the person with your current interests, values, and visions that you are now?? ______________ But fear likes to hold on tight, and often manifests in ways like "what if I fail?".... "What if I succeed?"...."How will I find the time?"

By actually asking yourself these questions with the willingness to listen, you will start to understand where these fears lie! ____________

So Ask yourself these questions: 1. Are you living in the past? Meaning are you still reeling over that thing that happened years ago? Are you looking back there thinking that's as good as it will get? Without growth and hope for the future we will continue to struggle with this, but once we see what we can do, here, now, in our current skin, we get to see that are actually pretty kick ass.

2. Are you stretching yourself too thin? "Life is like a buffet...lots to choose from, but if you take it all you will make yourself sick." We often fill our days and TIME (our most valuable resource) with stuff that doesn't matter or doesn't align with what we ACTUALLY want out of this life. So where are you putting in time and effort that doesn't serve you, and you could put that time to use building your own big vision....or taking a freaking nap???

3. What thoughts come up for you when you think about your big vision? "What if I fail?" "What do I do if I succeed?" "I can't do that. I need (xxxx) credential for people to take me seriously." "My idea is not unique enough" .....Where do your fears lie? How are those fears serving you? How are they holding you down?

4. What would happen if you actually manifested the big unbridled vision you have for yourself?

It's amazing what happens when you actually let go of the "I can't because....." and turn it into "i can". As kids we have this power to see so many possibilities and state it exactly as that. I asked my kids the other day if they wanted to ask my adult friend a question - she very matter of factly said "no." and left it as that. She didn't want to ask the question. Quite honestly, she didn't really care to hear the answer.. A little brutal but a great example of saying no to what you don't want! As we "grow up" we often lose sight of asking ourselves what we actually want...and what do I not freaking want?! Do you know how long I wanted to be with elephants and taking my family on this kind of a trip? since I was 4.....Do you know how long I decided this dang dream was going to be for "later down the road at some point.".....from the time I was about 16 to the time I was 29. Then it went on my vision board. And I worked through my fears of actualizing it.....I went on a trip 4 months later and got to bring my kids along to enjoy it with me! It was one of the most exciting journeys of my life! and now I'm just getting started because this sh$t is POWERFUL! . . So our job as adults who really want to grow? Rebuild that confidence when we set up our visions to say "I can" instead of "i can't." And mama, you are so dang powerful!
